Lino Ortega is the Democratic nominee for Texas House District 77, which serves El Paso. She faces no major-party opposition in the November general election. A fifth-generation El Pasoan, Ortega graduated from the University of Texas law school and has been a trial attorney in El Paso for more than 30 years.
