Thomas Johnson is a Charles Koch Institute Communications Fellow with Conservatives Concerned about the Death Penalty, a project of EJUSA. He formerly worked with Americans for Prosperity, where he served as a Field Associate in South Texas. Thomas has also worked with a Congressional campaign in Missouri and as a missions intern in Bolivia.

Given the facts, it should not surprise anyone that Texans are losing faith in the death penalty. We like solutions that work. Capital punishment does not work, and that may be why Texas’ death penalty is in a steep decline.
