Tracy Ginsburg, Ed.D., CAE, Executive director

TASBO

Tracy Ginsburg serves as the executive director for the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO), and has over 30 years of public school district experience. Prior to joining TASBO, she served as CFO of both the Fort Bend and Round Rock ISDs and worked in the El Paso and Socorro ISDs as an auditor and business official.

Tracy received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston in 2012 and has a passion for public education. She served as an expert witness in the most recent school finance litigation, testifying on behalf of Fort Bend ISD and the needs of fast growth school districts with regards to facilities expansion. She is the recipient of the 2009 Austin Business Journal Non-Profit CFO of the Year, 2011 TASBO Commitment to Excellence Award, 2013 ASBO Eagle Award, 2014 University of Houston STAR Award, and is a member of the 2016 Cougar 100 Program, which recognizes leading businesses and non-profit organizations led by University of Houston alumni.

According to the Texas Education Agency, there are 1,246 school districts and charters with more than 3,000 campuses in Texas. These schools serve more than 5.4 million students. It is an enormous responsibility to provide a safe learning environment for these school children — a responsibility not taken lightly by the many people who care and are committed to public education.
